2005 Hershey Summer Reunion

The 2005 Hershey summer reunion was 5 to 8 August, with some of the 135 attendees arriving earlier as usual to enjoy the company of other relatives, and to get started with the card and domino games. New to the reunion this year were the Marshalls, daughter Carole and grandchildren Katelyn, Kyle, and Grant of the webmaster.

The theme of this years reunion was Country Fair. Food, fun, and games with prizes for kids of all ages. Ticket sale proceeds went into the family fund to help pay reunion expenses.

The pie toss was a great success.

Balloon animals, cotton candy, ice cream, and funnel cakes were all enjoyed.

Bean bag toss and tattoos were popular, too.

Funnel cake production.

Sausages were hot from the pan.

Games for all ages.

A raffled afghan was won by Tom.

A new shirt was available for the Boyd clan this year. A World War 2 picture that Betty sent Dick while in the service was on the shirt.

The whole family put on the shirts while Betty and Dick were distracted.

Betty and Dick were surprised.

The Boyd family is large. 16 were not present.

Saturday always includes organized children's games.

Two piņatas end the children's games.

Bocce Ball is for all ages.

As is the water balloon toss.

Sunday ends with singing "Blessed be the tie that binds".

Monday morning breakfast is the end of the reunion for all who can stay.
